Programmes

Two engines. One mission: saving smiles.

FLOSS Jamaica combines international volunteer missions with structured local health fairs to bring oral-health education, screening, treatment, and referrals to communities across Jamaica.

How FLOSS works

Organized outreach, not random pop-up dentistry.

Every programme is built around planning, consent, logistics, volunteer readiness, safety, and appropriate clinical supervision. Requests are reviewed before dates are confirmed, and volunteer roles are assigned based on training and event needs.

Education

We teach brushing, flossing, diet awareness, fluoride use, and prevention-focused habits.

Clinical Care

Where appropriate and safely supported, volunteers provide examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.

Referral

Patients needing additional care receive referral guidance and follow-up recommendations.
